Meet Our Team

Nick grew up in China before he came to the US for graduate studies at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He has extensive business relationships with Chinese schools, companies, and NGOs. 

Nick is a cross-cultural communication expert and enjoys learning via travel. He has been leading Real Asia to help many schools across the US with their faculty-led study trips.

With over ten years spent abroad, Joe has developed a vast global network and has been able to travel extensively throughout all of Asia. He has coordinated and led numerous MBA & EMBA overseas trips. Such programs include Wharton, Stanford, Columbia, HBS, Kellogg, and many more.

Joe is consistently praised for his excellent customer service, as well as for his leadership and passion for Asia. He currently lives in Taiwan and manages most of Real Asia’s Taiwan trips.

Following his graduation from Trinity Western University, Canada with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Luke returned to Beijing, his hometown. As a former Senior Event Organizer, he has 15 years of experience and knowledge in public relations. Luke is a certificated calligrapher and a semi-professional runner who has completed more than 30 full marathons in different countries. He has a profound understanding of sports, education, and culture, and he is keen to share his insights and experiences with students.

Raised in Taiwan, Carol was an award-winning TV show assistant producer before relocating to the US. She was responsible for a variety of programs including travel, cooking, and news. In the past 10 years, she has worked in the e-commerce and digital marketing fields which has provided her with in-depth knowledge, especially in the US market. Carol excels in creating trips to Taiwan and Japan alike. She has a great passion for traveling and she is always eager to explore new surroundings and experiences.

Rachel is passionate about promoting Asian cultures to the world. She grew up in China and received her education in Australia at the Australian National University and in the United States at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Prior to joining Real Asia, she had almost 10 years of work experience in the environmental industry, primarily with a French multinational company in China as a business development professional. Additionally, her passion for the planet led her to serve as the volunteer supervisor of BellaTerra Consulting, an NGO that promotes sustainable farming for American, Chinese, and Brazilian companies in China. Rachel has extensive travel experience in South Korea, Japan, Thailand, and Singapore.

Jade has over 12 years of experience in customer service, technical support, administration, and B2C and B2B sales management in a variety of different industries such as TELCO, Insurance, Recruitment, and Travel. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Tourism, certified and passed the Insurance Certification in Singapore College of Insurance, and gained over 95% score in Abacus and Amadeus (GDS).  Jade is an expert in the Philippines and Singapore from her time studying and residing in these countries.

Nina is a teacher, scholar, and guide who fell in love with China on her first trip there at age 14. She holds an M.A. in Global History and has spent many years studying, teaching, and guiding in China. She is a devoted educator whose engaging, award-winning teaching style has taken her to classrooms around the world, from France to the Tibetan regions of China. Whether she’s in the classroom, the conference room, or on the road, Nina is passionate about facilitating incredible journeys that educate, empower, and inspire.

Originally from New York City, Tai is half-Chinese and has extensively traveled and lived throughout China, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia. With over 15+ years of experience working in the US-Asia cross-cultural education arena, his dedication to Real Asia’s mission speaks for itself. Tai has led, sold, designed, and directed a diverse array of experiential learning programs for US students, Asian students, and adults throughout the world. He holds an MA in Intercultural Services, Leadership, and Management from SIT Graduate Institute, and completed the ICLP Mandarin-intensive language program at Taiwan National University. Tai is a girl dad and loves spending time with his family. During his free time, he can be found cooking, doing art, and traveling to new countries (30 and counting!). 

Ann-Marie is a recent MA graduate from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, studying Korean society and culture. Her background is centralized in communications, sociology, education, and media, allowing her to have extensive experience in various fields of expertise. She’s a Texas native with over 2 years spent living in Korea, exploring and learning the language while leading research work on social issues. Her passions reside in sharing the intricacies of Korea with the world, especially young scholars, and helping them discover the unique experiences she had while studying and working in Korea.

Ivy is a traveler who enjoys learning history and culture. After living in different countries and traveling through Europe, she decided to follow her passion and become a travel operator dedicated to crafting immersive cultural experiences. As a former Senior Travel Consultant and experienced Taipei walking tour guide, she’s spent years helping travelers discover the hidden gems of Taiwan through tailored itineraries and personalized tours. Fluent in English and proficient in Mandarin, she prides herself on providing meaningful, in-depth cultural insights to make every journey unforgettable. Whether it’s exploring Taiwan’s historical landmarks or coordinating unique, hands-on experiences, she is here to ensure our trips are enriching and seamless. 

Kevin is a third-culture kid born and raised in Saudi Arabia with a love of Asia. As a kid, his family often traveled to Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. From this, he developed a deep love of Asia leading to graduating with a BA in Chinese Language and Culture from CU Boulder. Kevin loves language acquisition and speaks English, Mandarin, and European Portuguese, and has studied Russian and Farsi. He currently resides in Northern Portugal where he spends his free time cooking, language learning, and occasionally playing Mahjong.

Zoe Chen is from Shanghai and graduated from SISU, where she majored in Tourism English. Her academic journey was filled with enriching experiences that greatly shaped her perspectives and expanded her knowledge. After graduation, she traveled to over 20 countries and joined a travel agency. She has guided and coordinated numerous MBA & EMBA trips all over China. Zoe always believes teaching is learning and learning is teaching. She will continually delve into different cultures and the tourism industry. 

Nelly has over 8 years of experience in customer service and excelled in roles across hospitality, healthcare, and retail industries. Nelly's passion for travel has had a significant role in developing a broad cultural perspective and deep appreciation for connecting with people from diverse backgrounds. Nelly has built a strong understanding of global customer needs and service excellence, which has been invaluable in crafting personalized experiences that resonate with clients. Nelly's love for languages, having majored in French, further complements a rich travel background, fostering a unique ability to engage effectively across cultures. Nelly is excited to bring this blend of global insight, customer service excellence, and personal passion to the team, contributing to our collective success.

Stanley Harsha is a former U.S. diplomat, with over 30 years of experience in Asian affairs. Currently, he is President of U.S.-Asia Education Exchanges, which assists U.S. universities in establishing partnerships with Asian universities and to recruit students. He now divides his time between the United States and Asia, dedicating his time to writing, advancing international educational exchanges between Asia and the U.S..

Holding two EMBA degrees in Tsinghua PBCSF and China Europe International Business School, Tony runs several investment firms in East Asia and Southeast Asia.  He helps set up business visits in Singapore, Indonesia and China.
